01 My Story
God, Music, Dance, Writing, Soccer, Art, Video Games, and Computers are the passions which I grew up with. They are the passions which I never left behind. My main focus became Computers. I learn to love creativity in building software. But it does not define my entire self.
As a kid, growing up in Haiti, the bad and traumatic moments I experience were typical. The great and extraordinary moments were a blessing. It involved having my passion for being a professional soccer player transform into being a software developer, although both options had limited access. It involved expressing the joy and sorrow through writing and art. It involved embracing the fun through music and dance.
My life was also full of advantages. I had the opportunity to be talented at my passions. The chance to be good or even great at said passions. It was an advantage to focalize my energy on them. I had the opportunity to come to the U.S. and learn Computer Science. One of the most significant opportunities I had was to gain knowledge and experience in a domain I am passionate about. I am full of gratitude, grit, and resilience. My story requires a continuous learning mentality.
My story is far from over. Some chapters still need to be written, there are many more lessons that need to be learned and opportunities that need to be discovered. I do not know what my future holds. It may involve me giving back, doing my best, coming up with innovating solutions, enjoying life, exploring new adventures, and even breaking the limit of technology, and more. How I will do it? I don't know yet. Will I do it by myself? Surely not, this is not a journey that one partake in alone.
My story involves you, your help, your support, your guidance, your advice, and all that you can offer.
